NOTTINGHAM MONOPOLY

As you probably know, Monopoly is a well-known board game where different places are ordered based on their monetary value, brown being the cheapest and dark blue being the most valuable. Well, what if instead of assigning a cost to places, we ordered them by their emotional value? Using a similar layout to Monopoly, we asked people to colour, doodle, draw and write which buildings and places they think belong on a Nottingham Monopoly board, and more importantly where they should be placed according to their emotional value.

Something interesting to note about the Monopoly map of Nottingham is that some places are highly valued by some, and assigned the lowest possible value by others. Both Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery and Broadmarsh Shopping Centre have been assigned to different emotional values 3 times by participants of the workshops, both being deemed as the best, average, and worst in Nottingham.
